The old Chinese proverb: "Let food be your medicine and medicine be your food" is extremely appropriate now and in the future. We often read or hear that common diseases such as obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and cancer are increasing with each decade, therefore it is important to take responsibility for one's own health now.   • Diet is one of the most important aspects of our daily lives. The older we are the more important it becomes. Each cell in the body must receive essential vitamins, minerals, amino acids, glucose, water, oxygen and electrolytes to be able to utilise them and function optimally.
  • Total absorption of nutrients is essential for good health and vitality. Pills, remedies, and supplements will not maintain good health if the digestive tract is not absorbing all nutrients efficiently. Stress, pollution, poor dietary habits, antibiotics, etc. may compromise the health of the gut allowing toxins to leak into the bloodstream causing illness, lethargy, allergies, etc.
  • I believe, when a person understands and listens to their body they will achieve improved health and more energy. Many people are not aware of the changes that occur in the body after eating certain foods. If you feel energetic and happy with no discomfort your food choices are right for you.
