Can a guy in his early 50's get motivated, stay motivated to get fit again?Home gym-free fitness plans suitable for young, middle aged and older that require no gym visits and are totally portable! Week by week >> progress commenced 1/1/08.
Welcome to Getting Fit Again! How many of have us have started a home fitness program or gym schedule only to give up and go back to a generally, unhealthy lifestyle.
I woke up one day and said this has to change. I decided I did not want to hear a doctor say "You could have avoided this medical condition had you stopped living your sedentary lifestyle."
NO WAY DO I WANT TO HEAR THOSE WORDS.
I am determinded not to die before my time - determined to give my family many years of healthy life. Consequently I will be focussing on 10plus gym-free fitness and 20mins (10+10 minutes) walking 5 days a week and I'll make a weekly journal, in words and audio.
The WHO website: "The lack of physical activity is a major underlying cause of death, disease, and disability . . . More than two million deaths each year are attributable to physical inactivity . . ." Full story here.
Web Comment: "Am 70 years old, play golf about 4 times a week and would like to become
physically more flexible. Have no ailments or constraints and want to keep
it that way. It is a great myth that you shrivel up and die after the age
of 55. Life goes on. Running, walking, or crawling. Much of it - Our choice."

5BX >> more Developed and once used by the Royal Canadian Air Force (more than 25 years ago). Widely used from 1950 to 1980, it still has a loyal following.

BULLWORKER >> more Has been popular for strengthening muscle groups. For those who have an old Bullworker but no instruction booklet/diagrams, I have added a range of photos that might help.

NUTRITION >>more The old Chinese proverb: "Let food be your medicine and medicine be your food" is extremely appropriate now and in the future.
